When it comes to paving your driveway, the two most popular choices are asphalt and concrete. Both have their pros and cons, and the best choice for you depends on your budget, aesthetic preferences, and the specific climate of Middle Tennessee.

    Cost and Installation

Asphalt is generally more cost-effective to install than concrete. It also cures much faster, meaning you can typically use your new driveway within a few days, compared to the week or more required for concrete.

    Durability and Maintenance

Concrete is highly durable and can last for decades with minimal maintenance. However, it is prone to cracking in freeze-thaw cycles. Asphalt, being more flexible, is less likely to crack under these conditions, but it does require regular sealcoating every few years to maintain its integrity and appearance.
